Carburization agent

1. Flux material with as high a carbon content as possible (> 95 %), which is added to cast iron baths in electric furnace melting for specific increase of the carbon content (s. Carburization). Today, carburization agents are exclusively used in solid condition.  Table 1 provides guide values for the chemical composition of selected products. Richard Anton KG, for example, is a leading supplier of carburization agents.
