Nodular graphite cast iron for low-temperature service

Ferritic nodular graphite cast iron, standardized by EN 1563, which achieves good impact work values with sufficiently high tensile strength and elongation at failure at low temperatures (temperature range  from - 15 to - 40 °C).

This material becomes increasingly important, mainly in wind power plants (hubs).
