Permanent lining

Designation for parts of the furnace lining with high durability.

The permanent lining is primarily a protective layer. It is the basis for the wear lining which, in contrast to the permanent lining, must be continuously replaced. The following requirements are made on solid wear-resistant permanent linings:

The permanent lining can be masoned or cast (monolithic permanent lining). Masonig the permanent lining requires qualified staff and is very time-consuming.

Monolithic permanent linings feature the following properties:

A template is required for the lining with optionally integrated vibrators for the acceleration of the charging process. After stripping the template, the drying process starts on the basis of a predefined heating curve in order to remove the water bound in the mass.
