Slow shot phase

First phase of the casting process before the mold filling and holding pressure phase

After dosing, the piston moves at low and constant speed in this phase, so that no material emerges from the filling opening and no turbulences occur in the casting chamber. It is important that the casting piston moves slowly in order to build up the melt in the casting chamber so that no shock wave is produced in front of the piston and no air is trapped in the material. The pre-running phase ends when the material is completely stored in the casting chamber and the piston speed changes at the switching point to the high speed of the mold filling phase.
