Solidification point

Strictly speaking, this only occurs in pure metals and eutectic alloys; i.e. the liquidus temperature is equal to the solidus temperature. These types of alloys or pure metals have a defined solidification poilnt, which is equal to the melting point.

In general, the solidification point is also defined as a point at which the melt starts solidifying, i.e. the liquidus temperature.
