Stripping plate

Additional plate facilitating the lift-off of more difficult molds (Fig. 1). The plate comprises a recess which precisely matches the contour of the pattern at the parting plane. When separating pattern and mold, the stripping plate is forced upwards by the lifting pins together with the mold box. As the sand surface and the stripping plate have the same shape at the parting plane, sand edges cannot come off during the lift-off process.

Special attention must be placed on adding the thickness of the stripping plate to all pattern dimensions in the lift-off direction and that the recesses for the lifting pins are only included in the pattern plate and not in the stripping plate.
