Wear lining

The wear lining (Fig. 1) is part of the refractory lining.

Due to the heat impact and direct contact with the melt in furnaces or transport vessels, the wear lining is subject to high stresses and wear. Therefore, it needs to be renewed from time to time.

In contrast to this, the permanent lining is located behind the wear lining and is of substantially higher durability.
