Fraunhofer Vision

Topics and exhibits at the Fraunhofer Vision booth at Control 2019 from 7 to 10 May 2019, Stuttgart. Based on numerous exhibits, solutions for surface inspection, optical 3D measuring and testing technology as well as for testing below the surface are presented. Many of these systems are inline-capable and can therefore be integrated directly into production. Applications can be found in numerous industries, such as automotive and suppliers, aviation, plastics, cast iron, metal, glass, etc. Read an example here:

Even single particulate impurities can lead to component failure. Therefore, measurement and classification of particles directly on the critical component surfaces is required

Detection of inline particles directly at the component surface

The Fraunhofer IPM inline particle detector enables 100 percent purity control directly in the line. Particulate impurities on the component are detected and evaluated without contact. Complex extraction procedures are no longer necessary, and the results are available in real-time. If the quantity of impurities exceeds a defined threshold value, the component is sorted out or cleaned again. Process issues can thus be immediately addressed.
